Possible To Stay Few Extra Months After PSW Expiry?

Hello, I posted this in another person's topic but didn't get a response, so figured it would be better to make a separate topic. So the situation is that I have been on the PSW since Aug 2009. However, instead of working full-time or looking for a professional job, I pursued a professional qualific...

A category of institution where if you are a student you won't permission to work presumably if applications are made after July 2011. One which is not recognise or whatever. I'm just using the term private college for lack of a better term.

I know...when I read the summary of the new policy, there is no mention of the dates. Is the UKBA obligated to follow their statement of intent?

When is your situation? When did you make an application?

Thank you. But there still seems to be a difference in opinion.

Some people are insisting that the rules will be implemented in July. While others are saying that they have been implemented to all applications on or after 21st April.

Hello, I don't mean to hijack this thread but I have a few related queries. Firstly, have these new work restrictions come into place already from 21st April? So a student in a private college will not be able to work at all? Someone told me that these restrictions were going to come into effect fr...

NO. Can you please make it a little clearer sir ? Your current response makes a sense that students with CAS obtained before April 21 will be granted permision for part time work. Is that right, please confirm. Any student who get admission in Private colleges from or after July 2011 (exact date no...

Yes. I think a PhD seems to be the most logical progression for me in terms of academics. However, I hope I'm not too late. I also wanted to find out that say I manage to pull off a 10 year stay here in the UK, is it guaranteed that I'll be able to get ILR? Or are they very stringent about everythin...

I assume employers are vary of going through this resident labour market test?

Besides, considering that I have not been able to get a proper job in all these years, it's unlikely that I can secure one in the next four months.

No other option?

Immigration options for existing Tier 1 (PSW) migrant

Hello, I just wanted some advice about my current situation. I entered the UK in 2004 on the student visa. Here is my brief history: 2004-2007 = student visa (undergraduate degree) 2007-2008 = student visa (postgraduate degree) 2009-2011 = post-study work visa (studying professional qualification pa...

My experience of my successful appeal (maintenance).

Ok fellas. Here is the my experience here for posterity. Not that posterity has ever done anything for me. My visa was rejected because of the maintenance of funds requirement. I did not want to spend money on a lawyer so I represented myself. For people who are too lazy to look up the facts of my c...

Basically it modifies section 84 of the Nationality, Immigration, and Asylum Act 2002- this allows statements made under section 120 (additional grounds in an Refusal appeal) to be considered no matter if they are new evidence or not (though I am not am immigration lawyer). What is section 19? OK I...

Witness statement and the document bundles must be sent to the AIT and respondent at least five working days before the hearing. Send only copies of the documents - take the originals with you to the hearing. Oh Oh. I think I made a boo-boo! My hearing is on the 12th of May. I am going to send my w...

I am just about to send off my witness statement and the bundle. I think I might have a small problem though. I sent my Appeal Form too late and had to fax it on the last date. However, to be on the save side, the next day I also posted it along with all the ORIGINAL documents which included my bank...

Can you study full-time on PSW?

Hello all, I just wanted to ask if I can study full-time on a PSW or will I have to go back to my home country to apply for the student visa? The new rules for student visa are ridiculous. So I was thinking I could just use the PSW to study instead of going back to my country to make a student visa ...

Re: Hi

As per the rules you will not qualify on the evidence you supplied. But being a student with temporary residence in UK , you can rely on any savings or funds you have overseas including term deposits and bank statements. Also in a case a judge has ruled that the amount of money available in the for...

Re: Post-Decision Evidence for Appeal (maintenance of funds)

Hello. Thanks for replying. pure_soul, do you really think it will still depend on the whether or not the judge is sympathetic to my case? I am citing authentic legal sources...it is from a practitioner's text and he is bound to follow this ruling. Anyhow, I suppose in a way you are correct. If he ...
