EEA2 Granted! Only took 11 days. Thanks Everyone!

Thanks to everyone for your help and advice. I applied for the EEA2 on August 3 and received my passport back with residence card on August 14! I am very surprised after hearing some of the horror stories. All I included in the app was the two passports, 3 paystubs from my wife's job, a marriage cer...

I do have wedding photos, but no joint accounts or anything like that, since we were just married last month. Bank statements too? I figured her work information would suffice to show we wont be needing social assistance. If I were you, I would NOT submit wedding photos, or bank statements, or a CD...

EEA 2 Required Documents

Hello, My wife is Irish and has been working in London since March. I am a US Citizen and I am applying for a residence card under the EEA2 application. My question is regarding the supporting documentation needed for application. I am unemployed, but she has a full time job. We need to include: My ...

Quick question, we are getting married on June 27th and I am flying back on June 30th to London. We will have to receive the marriage certificate in the mail about a week later. Will pictures of the wedding and the marriage license be enough to convince IO that its a real wedding or will we need the...

So the best plan of action: 1. Go to London, show IO the marriage cert, and other docs relating to my spouse exercising her treaty rights. Hopefully get in. 2. Apply straight away for the EEA2 Visa. 3. Begin looking for employment. Maybe I am oversimplifying it? Yes, that's probably the best approa...

Also, if I enter on a visitor stamp, I would not be considered a resident until the EEA2 app was approved, which could take 7 months or more. That means I cannot work or anything either, correct? But if I entered on the EEA Family permit, I could work right away? Your rights (also the one to work r...

So when entering the country, just tell the immigration officer that I am here to join my wife and show him the marriage certificate? Or should I just tell them I am here to visit so there is no chance of a hassle or refusal? Are you a visitor? Keep in mind that as a genuine visitor you would have ...

If the IO suspects ur are effectively living here on a vv or are spending more than six months in twelve here you are certain to be bounced. Too risky for me. Okay, two hypothetical situations for you. I fly out and back through Dublin, where apparently there is no immigration control. Then just ta...

Questions about tourist/visitor 6 month visa

Hello, Here is my situation. I am a US Citizen. My girlfriend is Irish and is working here on a short term contract until December. Once her contract is over, we are relocating to the states. I have enough money saved up to last me the rest of her contract. I arrived with her from Dublin on March 21...

Don't lie to conceal a previous visit when asked about it. Frequent visits with a short gap between look very suspicious unless you're an international busineeman. I wouldn't do that. I would do the unmarried partner route, but coming up with all that documentation is impossible. I might be able to...

Thanks for the reply. Would it be easier (or possible) to simply try to re-enter on a tourist stamp after I leave in June. Technically the UK has no proof of my being here, therefore, I would appear that I was entering for the very first time when I returned. Of course, if the US immigration dept se...

US Citizen with Irish Girlfriend moving to UK - Need advice

Hello, I am a US citizen who has been dating a girl from Ireland for two years. We moved from Bermuda last November and I stayed in Ireland on tourist visas for the last 5 months while she sought employment. She got a job in London, and we came here Saturday from Dublin. Leaving Heathrow, I DID NOT ...
