Agree with Push... we must not make a petition that sounds desperate. Contrary to what someone already said in the form, we DO have a lot to lose, if we do not put the right petition in. I think it should be kept short with just the key points. - Who we are - What is the concern - What are we expect...

Dear Home Secretary, We, the undersigned, are writing to express our views and concerns about the closure of the Tier-1 (General) route and the lack of information about its impact on existing Tier-1 (General) visa holders who are already in the United Kingdom. This petition is a collective appeal ...

You should probably check with the HR in your company directly. Since you are on WP, they must be very aware of your situation and the conditions imposed on you by the Home Office. So if you are not eligible for it, they would be able to stop the payment right away since they wouldn't want to be in ...

What is given in your Work Permit letter must be the basic salary. I believe you are entitled to have overtime & bonus on top of this in addition to a normal yearly salary review. (You should probably wait for senior members to confirm this) This is a quote from the Home Office website You will ...

Residents Association Limited Company - A silly question

This question may sound silly... My husband is here on a Tier 2 ICT visa & I am on a Tier 1 visa. We will be moving to a new apartment soon. The maintenance of the flat is taken care of by a Limited Company set up by all the residents of the building. The company has directors and other executiv...

IF you look at the case worker instructions for settlement applications from work permit/Tier 2, I think they provide a grace period of up to 3 months if all other conditions are met... That was my interpretation... I am not sure though... http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/poli...

Is it possible to send the government a response to their response? We are mindful of the impacts that changes to the immigration system can have on those who are already in the UK. Mitigating those impacts must be balanced against the need to ensure a robust system and the fact that we cannot keep ...

The Immigration rules (Appendix A - Attributes) says that those who have or last had HSMP, Tier1 etc under the rules in place before 31st March 2009 can claim points for bachelors.. (at least this is my understanding) I think those who are extending for the 2nd time would fall under the 'last had' c...

I think (& hope) that the extension applications the MAC are talking about is for those T1s based on the rules in place from July 16th. Those of us extending based on the rules before July 16th may be OK. For the April 2010 changes, MAC had suggested that they put in place some sort of transitio...
