Thanks sushdmehta for your reply. What if I get a fixed penalty? Do I need to let the HO know or only include it when I go for extension? Do we have to let the HO know of address or job change? I was told by the officer in a Job Center Plus when I went to get my NI that I am only allowed to change t...

Change in circumstances form

Once the visa is stamped & passport received, on what occasions would one have to use the Change in Circumstances form? Or is this form meant to be used only when your application is with the HO? When the passport is renewed, should I inform the HO? Since I would be carrying my old passport toge...

My husband was asked to pay a penalty fare of £20 for not having tickets to the correct station while travelling by train. Since he had a valid ticket, he appealed to the 'Independent Penalty Fares & Appeals Service' with the required evidence and was successful in the appeal. Is the penalty co...

The solicitor fees alone is 350- 900 pounds for representing you. Then, in certain cases there could be additonal fees (100 - 250) to book the same day appointment for you. Would depend on the solicitor that you are going with. Did you write to the HO asking for the reference letter? Do you have con...

Reference number for In-person applications?

Hi, I got my Tier 1 extension done via same day appoinment through an agency. When I got back my documents, I could not see any approval letter like the one you get in case of postal applications with the reference number.
Does the HO issue a reference number for In-person applications?

Masters for 2nd extension?

I arrived in the UK 1 month from my HSMP visa start date. I just got an extension for 3 years on Tier 1. This still makes me 1 month short of the 5 year ILR/Temp Citizenship requirement. Even if I consider the 5 years minus 28 days rule for ILR eligibility I am still 3 days short. I only have a Bach...

seanjoe, why was your application returned?
did you make a fresh application since then?
Or did you sent the same application correcting the error?

My application was also returned since 1 of the fields was not filled in.
Should I also sent the new maintenance funds documents also?

Aparently, there is going to be another points based test to get probationary citizenship & they are quoting some additional criteria including qualification earned while here in the UK!!

Hi push_hsmp, Thanks for your reply.

But doesn't the proposed changes say voluntary work once you are on Temporary Citizenship when it comes into effect? I wasn't sure about people on HSMP or tier 1 visa.

Your comments please.
