Have a T2 visa but need to work abroad for some months

Hi guys, I have a T2 visa but need to work abroad for some months as part of my job. Is this possible with T2? Are there restrictions that would stop me from being let back into the UK? I'm a bit worried that I may not be able to do this but I can't seem to find the literature on it and don't know w...

I feel for you dude. This is a really annoying problem. With regards to your employer getting the CoS allocation, this part should not be difficult due to the fact you are in a skilled job and are already in the UK on a work permit. I think the fact you have been here for 4 years may have some beari...

Emergency consideration for CoS quota increase

Hi everyone My work permit LTR expires at the very start of Nov. I have a T2 application ready to go but I am missing the CoS number. My employer is a branch of a bigger company. It turned out that only the parent company had a sponsor licence so the branch had to be merged onto the parent's licence...

Any more word on this? Did this approach of stating your visa was issued before BRP was effective actually work out?

Or do you have to go and get a BRP first before submitting the t2 app form as it implies?

Can I work for my employer while a WP to T2 app is underway

As it says on the tin ... I am currently employed by a company under a work permit, I am about to apply for T2 visa under transitional arrangements. Given the turnaround time for an outcome is likely to go beyond the end of my work permit visa's end date, can I legally continue to work for my employ...

Thanks for the reply Paperpusher :) The only thing is that they are stating a turnaround time of up to 2 months for visas at the moment and my application is within this timeframe so therefore the delay is not unexpected. In that case is an entry extension of any sort still possible? Do work permits...

Work permit .... 6 months to use it

Hi all I need some advice on a tricky scenario. I have a work permit issued 10th Nov last year 2008. I have applied for a visa/entry clearance based on my WP but I am still waiting. Am I correct in thinking that the work permit becomes invalid for entry clearance 6 months after it's date of issue???...

Hrm. OK that does sound to be the case. Ok next and final question ... MUST I return to Australia to get entry clerance stuff sorted. Or is there another option like going to another country in Europe and applying there and returning? Returning to Aus is obviously a massive expense and not really co...

Perhaps that is the case .... grrr. The work permit was hard enough to get... seems so weird to have to go through so much to get that and then not be able to stay in the country :S On a side note, speaking to border agency they mentioned I would be able to apply under the "Points Based System&...

The work permit was granted end of last year. Nov 30. I thought I read that I have 6 months from date of permit grant to arrange LTR or entry clearance etc ? I do have access to the original work permit. I guess I am trying to avoid having to fly back to Aus to fill in a form and then come back ... ...

Hrm. Well the thing is the working permit was applied for and granted whilst I was in the UK. I have not been back to Australia for any of this so far.

Working holiday maker with a work permit in the UK ...

Hi all I have a VERY complex situation unfolded before me. Hopefully someone can help me out as I am really confused as to the best course of action. I came to the UK in 2007 as a Australian working holiday maker and commenced working under that visa. End of last year 2008 I was granted a work permi...
