Dependants don't need to be present at HSMP ILR PEO appts

There are a lot of threads on this - it is a question that seems to come up regularly, with sometimes conflicting answers. However it seems that dependants don't need to be present. I emailed this question to the Home Office: From: xxxxx Sent: 27 May 2009 15:23 To: IND Public Enquiries Subject: PEO ...

Thanks Munisa. I also called the HO just now, and basically they wouldn't give me a straight answer. I suspect that I will have to post the application, just to avoid the possibility of being turned down on the day and having all that money go to waste. Now, I wonder if I can "give" my PE...

Unfortunately, no tickets were ever issued. I think receipts are issued the first time IRIS is used, but not after. So I simply have a lack of stamps, and a hope that the PEO will be OK with that - or can verify with IRIS. You will be OK at the PEO without stamps, but it will add a couple of extra ...

IRIS scheme - no passport stamps - problem for ILR?

Hi all I am about to apply for ILR at a PEO after 4 years on HSMP, and am wondering whether the lack of re-entry stamps in my passport will be a problem. I registered with the IRIS eye scanning system, so haven't been physically stamped for quite some time. (Though I do have some, including my origi...

One key question they asked most people I was with was 'when was your last trip out of UK and have you gone outside again since then?' This is the entry stamp they look for in the passport, and it better be there. Munisa, just how important is it to have that stamp? I am registered with the IRIS sc...

If she is applying on the basis of your HSMP, as your dependant, then she can be listed as such on the form - no need for a separate form.

HSMP judicial review - timeframe for ILR postal applications

Has anyone decided to submit their ILR application by post rather than PEO? If so please post your experiences as the days unfold. UKBA said to the other forum that they would put a special team in place for people affected by the judicial review. It will be interesting to see if they turn out to be...

Shahidsuri, Which forum is this and do you have the detail? Few people reported some postal ILR timelines: http://www.ukresident.com/forums/indefinite-leave-to-remain-aka-ilr-permanent-residency-settlement-f2410-ilr-timeline-t67333.html shahidsuri, that link didn't lead me anywhere. I have read on another forum that postal application are dealt within 4-5 weeks. If that's the case, it is quicker to apply by post considering the in-person takes 6 weeks. Postal waiting times for HSMP ILR

Hi

Can anyone confirm what the official waiting time is?

I have found two different timeframes on the UKBA website:

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... tingtimes/

and

Nor do they seem to have made special arrangements for applying - eg a cheap fast-track, like the HSMP forum requested.

If it were me, I'd use her current (married) name. Application forms usually ask for your name AS IT APPEARS IN PASSPORT. So whether you're married or not, it will have to be the name that is in your passport at the time of the application. I think he's only asking about the name to use for the LIU...

If it's expiring that soon anyway, then yeah, definitely worthwhile getting a new one. It will make it that much simpler, and will save her having to carrying two passports for years.

If it were me, I'd use her current (married) name. I would want to be able to show two things - one, that following marriage the name that she uses has remained constant, and two, that the only documents with her previous name on them are documents which pre-date marriage. That way, the reason for u...

Good suggestion on contacting the HSMP forum about this, shall update once I hear from them. Hi Kawasaki - just wondered if you'd heard anything from HSMP forum on this - hopefully they can do something, given that one of their requests to the HO following the JR was that all affected HSMP people c...
