I think sparx has been here for 11yrs now, so if worked and paid tax properly for all that time then morally can use NHS as already contributed enough If the immigration system can let someone stay here and being able to work and pay Tax, NI contributions for 11yrs without correct papers/workpermit,...

Re: Update on Volcanic ash – disruption to visa services

Some interesting implications there. It appears, for example, that settlement visa applications made in Algeria and Pakistan are being processed in the UK! Is settlement visa not implying ILR? and if so, isn't that all such visa application must be made when a person is physically in UK and have al...

I am not sure about how many years , but if really Tier4 (master) and TierPostStudy(work permit after master) count , is it something new ? In UK Home Office Border Agency web site , i digged every lines , it doesnt talk about any objection to years stayed as a master student. I suspect your questi...

Re: How recent do naturalisation references have to be?

When is the earliest I can get references for naturalisation in the application form? If i get them 3 months before i apply, for example, would that be acceptable? I don't think there is a limit, the main thing is that at the time the home office receive your application, the referees should be abl...

Re: Section 2 (2.2) residence requirements

UKBA Guide line (Page 16) says ''Insert the numbers you were away from the UK the last column ignoring the day you left and the day you arrived back in the UK'' so if I made a same day trip, it will be zero If I left on Tue and back on Thursday will be one day absence. Correct ? Thanks N Yes it is ...

To be honest I can see what the motive is and to be honest again I agree with it. It's elderly dependant relatives who've never paid into the system, this at least gets something back. Isn't the elderly relative don't get anything from the system?, i.e., they don't get any benefit and they have to ...

No the £15,000 is not an error. An advisor told me that this is for the rich people (really really rich people!) that can't be bothered doing things the simpleton way. The service is called Mobile Biometric Enrolment & Case-working (Premium+)...So I guess you can ask them to come at your house...

benz52, When you applied and were turned down did they still charge you for this or did they just send the paperwork back to you? Biggie22 I think Benz52 would have to confirm this but as per the guideline, if your application is processed and rejected, you do not get your money back except for the...

Re: Driving Offence- Failure to mention 3 expired points

Thank you for looking at my post. I would like to know whether someone would be penalised for failing to declare 3 Driving points for SP30 even though these are no longer valid. I acquired these points in june 2006 and are only valid for a period of 3 years. I paid £60 penalty and there was no cou...

Hence, it is my understanding that as long as you were in the public register , you shouldn't be asked to provide proof of address. What is this public register? Congrats magsi, that is really nice and you should enjoy your weekend now....

This shows that what so called a gap (i.e. gaps in the dates of issue of visa) doesn't matter as long as you make your application before your current visa has expired!
