I thought as a visitor I could enter without a visa? I'm from New Zealand and as I understand/understood it was we didn't need a visa to visit?

haha - OK, looking at it, it did look a little suspect... No wonder UKBAbble said what he/she did. I'm waiting for entry clearance. It's not "so much effort" but I'm in Europe and will need to spend a couple of weeks in London to sort a couple of personal matters before going back to work ...

Do they scan fingers? Would the fact that you have an application under review, would that be in jeopa...

I don't have any points... I was issued a work permit in January. The work permit was issued it the UK. I suppose it's worth mentioning that my case mightn't be an open and shut case as I was illegal for 3 years (long story but I have an email from the Home Office that shows that there was confusion...

makes sense doesn't it.... I was quoted "up to 25 business days" to process.... It's not been 32 business days they've had it... (not since I sent it, but since they've received it) I'm waiting for a reply from the Canberra office. I'm told that I'll get an email from them, then another 5 ...

Entry Clearance: No news = Good or Bad news?

Applying for entry clearance in Canberra for the UK, it's taken longer than the quoted time.

Does no news mean good news or bad news?

Are they looking for reasons to let me in or keep me out?

Has anyone been kept waiting then had their entry clearance granted?

Entry Clearance - Does no news = good news?

I was granted a 5 year work permit and now am applying for entry clearance. I was informed that it would take up to 25 business days to process, however it's now been 30 business days. After reading some of the posts to be honest I'm starting to get worried... Why would it take longer? Is no news = ...
