I think you should be fine. Even there are universities in India which merged or name of the university changed e.g. Bombay University is renamed as Mumbai University. Don't worry buddy, if you have got all your documents in order for Tier 1 then there is no reason for HO to reject your application. As long as you adhere with the rules laid out for the work permit and abide by all the immigration laws then there is no need to panic. Do you forsee any complication...
