Re: HOW SOON can apply Tier1 Visa Extension

UK immigration rules state that you should apply at least one month prior to the expiry of visa. But some people in this forum got extension four or five months before expiry date. I think there is no clear law stating that how early one can apply. If you are that worried about recession, etc, how ...

Re: Dependent's Name Query

You should mention the present surname name in section 1.3 (as it is different from the identification document, i.e., passport). It would be no problem. Explaination in cover letter would be enough, but you can back it by an affidavit too, to be on the safe side. Hi All, I am planning to apply for...

Re: Can I drive minicab on T1 General Visa

Keeping in mind the points for extension, if some guys do it as a part time job, they have a solid reason for doing so. As far as the term "highly skilled job" is concerned, at least I am unaware if it is defined in visa guidance, is it? Many famous people sold newspapers too. So I think ...

Re: How early do I enter UK after getting Visa

Hi I am in US. I got my Tier Visa approved for 3 years starting this May 2010. Is there a time limit by when I should enter UK or can I take my own time. You can enter anytime before expiry of your visa, but entring early is safer than entring late. I heard something like I should not be out of UK ...

Normally in EU, you pay tax in the country where you earn money. Besides, as far as Tier 1 application is concerned, tax matters are not directly related with visa extension process. I think you should keep it simple, and just provide previous earning proofs from two different sources, i.e., bank s...

If you do not recieve payslips, you can get a letter from your employer, in your case the university, about the amount they pay to you. This letter should mention the exact amount of claimed earnings as in your bank statements, and that's it. Dear All, I am holding Tier 1 General visa. Recently I s...
