Moving from PSW to Tier1 General

If you have attended a UK University and will graduate in 2009 with a BEng (Civil Engineering) then switch to PSW, will you be able to claim points for the BEng when you subsequently apply for Tier 1 (General) or do you need to have done a Masters degree?

Change of Circumstances

If you have a student visa, which was granted for four years, because at the time the course was four years (3year degree with one year industrial placement) and then you did not get the industrial placement, so your course became three years, do you need to inform UKBA of this?

So it seems that PSW is granted for two years from the date that they make the decision and not two years from when you apply? I guess that makes sense as you are not allowed to work in a permanent job before the PSW arrives?

Thanks everyone. So it seems to me that the best advice is... 1. If you plan further studies to do this directly after your undergraduate course and then apply for PSW after completion of ALL studies. 2. If you are applying for PSW but the market conditions are bad, then maybe returning to your home...

Wondering if anyone can help? If you are already on PSW and then wish to go back to student visa is this possible?
