British Citizen by Descent or Birth?

Hello All,

My relative was born in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland in 1952. Both her parents were born in the UK. She has a British passport. Is she a British citizen by birth or descent? Specifically, can she pass on her British citizenship to any children born outside the UK?

Naturalized citizens also have the right to enter the United States and I can't see how being naturalized as opposed to being natural born can legally give rise to additional scrutiny.
