Thanks for the feedback.

I pay all the bills and living costs.

Will I still be required to provide proof of bills and rent agreements? As the process is totally alien to me, would I be better hiring someone to do the application for me?

She has had the money in her account since last year. Basically she has saved her wages for the last few years. I'm trying to establish how much money she would need to have without me needing to provide assistance. Although I am not currently working I have a decent investment portfolio but wanted ...

Information regarding FLR (M) application....

Hi, I am getting married over the summer to my Ethiopian girlfriend and will be applying for the FLR (M). She has been in the UK for 4 years and is currently on a Tier 1 visa. I am currently a full time mature student (not earning) and my partner works part-time earning around £600 per month. She h...

Help with options.....

Wondering if someone could give me some advive. I have been dating my girlfriend for 4 years. She was here first on a student visa, then on a Post Study Work Tier 1. Her earnings dont allow for her to extend this visa. The Tier 1 visa ends in October and we had hoped to apply for the FLR(M) visa but...

Just an update to let you know that everything worked out ok in the end and that the original appeal decision stands. The senior Judge's actual words were "I am very confused with this case". She couldn't understand why the home had appealed the appeal considering my girlfriend had provide...

I am very sorry for your girl friend's case. I personally find it very hard to understand the purpose of the rules. Are the rules here to serve their purpose or are they a purpose themselves?! You would be very kind if you can please answer my question. Were the statements short of a few days to co...

Appeal for reconsideration after judge dismisses case

I posted last month explaing my girlfriends situation. Here is a quick run down of the situation. She applied for Tier 1 PSW visa. Failed to provide the full 3 months worth of bank statements by only a few days and was refused the visa. Appealed the decision and provided 6 months worth of bank state...

We are both feeling a bit more at ease after reading your replies folks so thanks again. We are using a lawyer who deals with these cases on a daily basis but for the appeal hearing the lawyer sent only a representative. I hope this was because they thought it was a straight forward case. There were...

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The home office are appealing the decision as well. I'm not understanding this process at all. Why do they give an appeal hearing and then appeal the judges decision? What a total waste of money this is. Is it possible that they have found something else that is ...

I wonder if this happened before.....

My girlfriend was refused her PSW visa on the £800 rule. She thought she had sent the proper bank statements but it turned out her bank statements were 3 days short of the required 3 months. She appealed the decision and provided the judge with 8 months of bank statements proving the £800 was in t...
