Going to Italy next week, cannot wait.

The only reason the unemployment rate is increasing at a slower rate is because people are leaving.

It is all yours Mazar, you and FF will be here to the bitter end.

Good luck with that.

When we start to understand how NAMA is going to save the bankers and builders and steal from the rest of us and how it is all being proppped up to save a few criminals, now that will be something to hate.

Thank you so much for following this up. You have no idea how much this annoys me, as I am non EU and the husband is Irish. When we go back to Australia the sign says Australian passport holder and their Families, and my husband always goes through with me. Not only do I think it contravenes the dir...

Hi Benifa Yes he is Irish born, but everyone else talked about EU Fam 4, so I was just wondering. The main reason I thought there was something different was that the girl in FAS said to the other 'She is here on her own.' Should I apply for the permanent residency as well? Or leaveit until 2014, i ...

Thanks for that, but yours is different to mine, mine does not need to be renewed until 2014, we got married in 2003, so well within the new guidelines, I just thought it was odd that they said that I was on my own, when I am not. The reason I ask is that we are thinking of moving to Italy and I nee...

Anyway I was being helped by 2 people and they took my card to check the stamp (not all can register with FAS). Anyway the section for my stamp is the following: Stamp No: 4 Now I ahve never...

Hi Pauliesgirl I think there are alot of elements that are correct in the responses. I am Australian married to an Irish man (maybe we should start a support group :o ) My CV has my name at the top and my surname is quite unusual and not Irish sounding at all. Underneath that I have basic details, i...

What I want to do is get ...

Is this the most up to date?

http://ec.europa.eu/commission_barroso/frattini/archive/guide_2004_38_ec_en.pdf I have printed this out, but I am wondering is this the most up to date version of this? If there is a better more up to date document could someone post it here. I am trying to get this in Italian as well. If I do I wil...

If the reason you cannot get married is because you are waiting for an Irish divorce (at least a 4 year process) then perhaps think about the following things assuming you are on good terms: 1) Is your Spouse Irish? If not they can apply for a divorce in their own country and is applicable for you h...

LOL go into business for yourself? Doing what may I ask. I do not mean to be bad, but your skills are minimum wage, which although Irleand was the highest will be cut in the next 12 months. There have been tax hikes for all tax payers and there are more down the line over the next 3 years. The Irish...

As a fellow Australian, I would advise not to come here. There are no jobs here, the unemployment rate will be up to 15-20% here by the end of the year. Retail is really bad at the moment, the celtic tiger is dead. I would say you would still have a better chance in the UK, Scotland. Non-Irish are n...

Bit confusing I know. See I only have the official form and paperwork and it asks for all the infomation, I did not think that further on down the track they asked for the payslips etc. So if they do that yeah there may be issues. But as I said to a friend this brilliant government did not see the '...

You have to tick a box that says that it says your intention it to remain in Ireland. That is what got the woman at INIS all excited. She said I could not put the application in or proceed with the application if I did not plan to stay. As they do not have a tracking device, that really is not an is...

Thanks for replying to both the threads, I posted it twice as I wanted an Ireland perspective as well. Can someone see any wriggle room?

This board is a revelation. I thought I was the only ones with dealings with the INIS! Anyway I am Australian, he is Irish (by birth, no less!) married for 6 years. By a stupid oversight on my part I never applied for naturalisation. My husband and I would like to go and work in Italy (teaching Engl...

I know this is an old thread, but my question is the same. I am Australian and he is Irish. We are living in Ireland and married for 6 years. (I have residency here) Due to a stupid oversight on my part I havbe never followed up on my naturalisation and passport. The process now takes 2-3 years. We ...
