I came to the UK in July 2009 by ferry from Spain. I also am a non visa national. I was held at the border for 4 hours whilst being questioned, but I had not previously been issued with an FP, whereas you have been. I'm sure you will get back in as you know your rights and can prove that you are a f...

You have the right of free movement regardless of whether you have an EEA FP or not. Take you COA with you which proves your application is under consideration. You do not need an EEA FP to enter the UK, but you will need to prove that you are a family member of an EEA National. Take a copy of your ...

My thoughts are that you should send you passport back so they can stick the RC in. That is the most important thing, would you not agree? The sooner you send the passport back, the sooner they can finalise your application and send your passport back to you. If they had your passport they wouldn't ...

Hi all, We just received a letter from HO today (dated June 21). This letter is addressed to my husband (the EEA national) and asking him to send only my passport to them to enable the application to be considered. Does it mean that both our applications (EEA1 and EEA2) have been assigned to a team...

I would provide utility bills for Ireland and the UK. When I submitted my EEA2 application I didn't provide enough evidence that we were residing together in the UK so they wrote to me to request it. So everything that you send in evidence of living together in Ireland you should also provide for th...

I came back to Gatwick from a holiday in Italy with my EEA husband in the first week of May. I went through all other passports, and had filled in a landing card. I was questioned for 5 minutes at the counter (what's my husband's name, where is he from, what is his date of birth, why do I have an EE...

Congratulations! If you get into Spain, don't bother driving to France - drive to Santander or Bilbao and get the ferry from there. The staff at those ports only gave my passport a cursory glance. Like I said, just be prepared when you get the window at the UK border and have all your stuff organise...

I was refused twice in Madrid because my British boyfriend (but now husband) was not a qualified person. They haven't got a clue. Technically, your partner doesn't need an EEA FP to enter and reside with you in the UK. He already has the right by virtue of your relationship, the EEA FP would obvious...

I am Australian and married to an English man. We lived in Spain for two years before coming to live in England. I applied for an EEA FP twice in Madrid and was refused. They do not understand the Singh ruling there, or at least they didn't last year. We came to the UK by ferry anyway last July with...

Just thought I would post to let you know that I received my RC today.

Thank you Ben and Directive/2004/38/EC so much - I doubt I would be in England were it not for you two.

Cheers, Carla

I got my RC! I'm so relieved. I sent them one letter by fax to request that my application be expedited on 4 March, citing several reasons, and my RC is dated 5 March. My 6 months was up on 14 March, so I'm pleased I didn't have to wait as long as a lot of others. Now I'm going to book some holidays...

Forza - the HO wrote to me on 30 November requesting further evidence that my sponsor and I are living together. I have heard nothing from them since.
