I claimed in my name .although the council insisted we put my wifes national insurance number on the form. but I am sure there is no problem with that as I am uk citezen and entitled to claim for me and our daughter iam in similar case like you,i got help from john,was very helpfull,now i am fillin...

Given that you are exercising EU Treaty Rights as a self-employed person, there is no problem you claiming Housing Benefit. Also Council Tax Benefit. But possibly of more financial benefit to you is the fact that the two of you, you and your wife jointly, should make a claim for Tax Credits. Assumi...
