Thanks everyone, i just have a big issue here: Obie said: 3. Article 5 (4) does not mean your spouse is entitled to travel without a visa. But the fact that we travel at the end, isn't proof enough? As i mentioned before we travel to Italy a month before with British Airways, and didn't have any is...

Find time go through those forms again, you might discover that they eliminated a fullstop or even a comer somewhere, if not just one word!

abraCadabra, as regards the UKBA you provide a link to, I am appalled that they ask for so much information. As regards Bank Statements, which is what you are asking about, I think just supply the bank statements that show receipt of his employment income, that is, that confirm that he is indeed in...

Yes - but only a partial victory. I will monitor the quality of guidance updates on the UKBA website and operations at the borders over the next 12 months before sealing the file on this one. I also intend to respond to the UKBA highlighting the fact that even when border officers have had the oppo...

Joy will come after this dark time. Thanks for the reply. I will ask the new lawyer to assist us in preparing an affidavit. Don't forget to include a copy of the stamp(s) and your residence card as evidence. EDIT: Do your stamps have a number in the second row (between 'IMMIGRATION OFFICER' and the date)? But IO has already destroyed crucial evidence, by refusing him to fill in the landing card. They would have traced t...

Obie to be honest, in the OP's post i wasn't interested in the marriage coir's part of it,i might have skipped it. Sure it might raise suspicions as to why the applicants are not revealing the actual category under which they are exercising their treaty Rights. About UKBA scrutinizing everything, i ...

Treaty right has to be genuine. The UKBA knows her treaty right's position , if she is working or self-employed. They will not help by telling you not to provide this. They will say the onus is on you to provide this information. Simply providing a Sickness insurance for someone who is not aware of...

Ain't intimidated by some people's jargon's over the board,no! not after metock.

Much as metock was not about Ofms, it does give some light on the whole issue. Immigration lawyers are still arguing the issue of ukb not considering Ofms and lets optimistic in that case.

thanks OBIE for your advice , i wonder y others have been harsh and giving me wrong informations, The reason is, much as I respect Obie's opinions, he has a more rose-tinted outlook, whereas us seasoned posters mostly are more cynical and jaded and align with the ECO tenet - 'on the balance of prob...

The border control experience differs. I for one, and travelling with my hubby, got a lot of stick from an IO at Brussels midi who was of the opinion that: 1. I needed to complete a landing card and have my passport stamped 2. My RC could be cancelled (by an IO) at any time 3. My rights of residenc...

Besides the UKBA, most co-operates in the UK, have got very few well trained staff. Just grab the phone, speak to the person on the other side of the line, or try to make an inquiry, and you will see what kind of response you will get. Some times it takes five customer service representatives to get...
