Wanderer is right. You have to show that you can meet your first year fees + 9months accommodation expenses @ 800pounds per month before you apply for student visa.

If you are coming to UK as student, then you can only work 20 hours ( Legally ) as stated on your visa. Most likely no company would consider you taking as employee for 20 hours. Just in case even if you do manage to get job, Max you would earn would be £200 a week if you are paid £10 an hour.. M...

Oh... I forgot to say that if you are going to apply before 1 october 2009, then you can show the required amount in your account for the same day of statement.

And if you are going to apply after that date then you have got to be holding the amount in your OWN or JOINT account for the last 28 days.
