Thanks @Deepshithole2010 and malik5805, The processing time for psw applications have become so unpredictable now. Some of my friends who had applied later than the other got their decisions earlier. Since there is a huge backlog of psw cases you've got to be patient at this time. :) It's been a mon...

@Deepshithole2010 : I think I haven't cleared myself :). The decision was promulgated on 31st of May which was allowed. Only my solicitor received a copy of the decision not me. So when i called AIT regarding another copy of decision not being sent to me, they said only the representatives receive t...

@Deepshithole2010, @malik5805 My decision was allowed a few weeks ago. So far I haven't heard anything from HO nor from my solicitor so I would assume that HO haven't appealed against the decision as they had got 5-7 working days to do so. I personally haven't received a copy of the determination, c...

@Greenie Thanks for your reply. Well, firstly I did not completely rule out the possibility that they will appeal against it as in majority of cases they don't so there is no question of misleading others here. Secondly, even if they go for appeal there are cases where applicants have been granted P...

@PaperPusher - Thanks for your build on this matter. I went through those 3 cases. Only in one of them had the HO appealed against the decision which was allowed. That case was based only on one major mistake on part of the Respondent which was her college letter. It stated after completing fundamen...

I was wondering if you have any idea about the deadline for them to appeal against the decision if they choose to do so . . ? ? ?

Thanks for ur wishes. Yeah you are right in saying that they can go for appeal but as far as I'm aware of similar cases they have never done so. In rare circumstances they might do so but still I'm prepared for that.

Thanks msk47. Well the application processing time pretty much depends on factors I'm not aware of. The only thing that I'm aware of is the dates the biometrics are taken but I know some people who had applied later than the others and got their applications decided earlier. I applied in mid decembe...

you have misunderstood the rules, and the OP's query. PSW requires that the applicant had valid leave to remain permitting study for the duration of the course. It's not that he risks refusal due to overstaying per se, rather, that he risks refusal because he doesn't score the points for PSW becaus...

Still in my opinion you should go for it. It is better to clear your previous overstay because even if you don't they are going to check your record any way so its better to clear your previous situation to them again. It is quite likely that they will understand your circumstances otherwise they wo...

Since you have valid leave to remain at the time of making application therefore, I assume, it will be safe for you to go for it. your overstaying should have created problem only when you went for the student visa in the first place.
