"I have re-read your post ... and no you don't actually say that. You say she has a settlement visa but I am not going to assume that she is married to you. Hence the question. I am certainly not going to wade back through your previous 500 posts to get the answer. " That is a little harsh...

Yes, Myself am my wife are married to each other :-) certainly. (But how come this question came up - i am sure without having legally married, no spouse can get a UK settlement visa, and i have certainly indicated in my post that my wife holds a UK settlement visa as my wife! :-)) "you need to...

Child born outside the UK to a British father!

Hi All, A quick question. If a british citizen's (naturalised citizen) child is born outside the UK (in India) then i know the child is automatically British. Now what options exist for the new born: 1. Straight-away apply for the British passpot (in India) from UK mission by getting a British style...

Cheers to All. Just to summarise my answers to various questions raised on me here: 1. I have no intentions to mis-represent indian citizenship. All i want to do is to take it ot India once and show it off to my family, just as a souvenir. I have my british passport and have my PIO card to go to Ind...

Cheers. Thanks for all those answers. Frankly, I think a potential ILR cannot determine our decisions to whether have the baby here in the UK or elsewhere - its a personal decision and i would not let anybody come into that, so i am least interested in the ILR for my wife - if they think that the ma...

Thanks for those points. But main question in this thread is all about these: My questions are these: 1. If she flies to India around January 1st week and then returns to the UK around September 2006, will she be able to get her ILR in April 2007. She would have been outside the UK - only to take ca...

Hi, I got my british citizenship by naturalisation recenlty. I am sure my child will get british citizenship even if he/she is born in India. My question is about my wife's ILR, in case she spends about 9 months in India and comes back to UK and applies for ILR in 2007 when her spouse visa / settlem...

Yes, Joseph - that is correct! The ceremony date and the date of citizenship was all the same. Oops! Joseph! I really wished I was the last one that suffered that spelling mistake! Anyway... This is what I did to get the correction done ASAP, otherwise it would normally take anywhere up to 3 months. 1. Attend the ceremony and take the certificate. 2. Come home and write a brief letter describ...

Would h...
