Self-Employed and PAYE

Dear All, Before I apply for my dependant's Tier 1 who are outside the UK, wanted a bit of advice. In Jan 2010, I registered myself as a Self-Employed marketing consultant and after completing a single project I started teaching at two colleges. My status at both colleges stayed as self-employed. Ho...

Dear All, My wife's name changed after marriage and her new name is shown in the new passport. Her maiden name shows on the marriage certificate. Since my name. i.e. her husband's name is mentioned on both marriage and her passport, do I still need to explain or show any evidence of her change in na...

Re: 3 week hotel accommodation for dependants

[quote="hsmpaspirant2008"]If you are already in the Uk it is better to show evidence of proper accomodation, there is no rules on what kind of accomodation it should be, so theoritically it should be ok. If I am missing something, i always found proper accomodation to be less expensive tha...

3 week hotel accommodation for dependants

Dear All,

If I book a double room ( meant for couple with kids) for my wife and kids in a hotel for 3 weeks, is that acceptable as proof of accommodation for their Tier 1 dependants application? Am already in UK.

Many thanks,

Accommodation and payslips ( Dependants Tier 1)

Dear All, I know this has been a widely discussed topic but guess some situations are different than others. As the family is still outside UK, I need to apply for their visa soon. I live in a house-share and the landlord has agreed to give me a tenancy agreement and no objection to my family stayin...

Re: Tenancy Agreement and Sponsor Letter

Rsatish, thanks for the reply. My family will put up with relatives for a month in UK till I can decide on the place. I perhaps sounded like asking for a false agreement but on the contrary I have read posts on the forum mentioning getting forms from the Council or even a bookshop. Hence, I assumed ...

I believe its very clear they DO NOT accept copies of degrees and are very particular about seeing the original degree to award points.

Thanks Durak.

Is this despite the point mentioned in the guidelines that the account can be joint with one or other? Which I understood could be 2 or 3 people as long as the name of the main applicant is on the title of the account!

Joint account with wife and sister in law??

Dear All, Sorry to bother all again. I am in the UK on the tier 1. For my dependents, can I show funds of an account outside UK which is jointly held in this order by my Sister in law, wife and myself? The title obviously shows all the names. Hi there, I got my tier 1 last month. This might help you understand the requirement : I had a back statement for 19th March to 19th June and applied on 21st June. Its always safer to apply with the bank statement issued just few days before the application covering a 3 month period. Best of luck, [...
