If you entered UK with the same visa for e.g. tier 1 which you are still on then I would put the November date and explain this and the long break in the covering letter. Can't see any alternative to this situation.
I checked those as I am going to apply as well. If you look at 5.3, it says "If so(Yes), what is your pay each month AFTER income tax and other deductions". Which clearly means the Net Income. And for the question on Biometrics, they are asking for the previous biometrics done in the UK wh...
Hello All, Does it matter if I went to my home country for 10 days every year and those were all unpaid leave? I teach as a freelancer and went home during the Easter and Christmas breaks when the Universities are closed but I don't get paid for even though am still under the contract. If yes, then ...
Hi, Congratulations! Would you mind letting me know if you showed your self-employment details only because that plus your employment income met the minimum income required or you thought it is better to show all income? I have both sources too but I would like to show employment income only which w...
Thank you both. You have made it clear that absence of 180 days or more is the critical thing which needs to be explained while applying. The lack of economic activity is not going to be an issue.
So it looks like if you were unemployed in the first year and away from the UK less than 180 days and arrived to the UK within 90 days is acceptable as long as the LTR expires exactly after 5 years.
Argus, I think that's right. What situation are you in?
Congratulations and many thanks for your reply. Was waiting for someone to confirm this after getting the ILR. Am sure many, like myself, would be relieved to read your reply. Wish us luck now .
Hi,
I was in touch with the same applicant ranjeet1979, an applicant who was unemployed for a year, had very few dats outside the UK and got ILR last week.
Many thanks for your detailed reply. I did some further research on this. I reckon since there was never any word on how much should the tax be paid and Income has always only been linked with the last 12 months before application, am staying hopeful. Additionally, the precedence of applicants getti...
Thank you all for your replies. Another member was unemployed for a year and he also confirmed he got his ILR without any questions asked about the period he was unemployed. What a relief!!
HI Rajneet I read your posts and congratulations on getting the ILR. You had previously posted under 5 year continuous period, the gap of one year in finding employment when you first came here. It took me six months as well so I understand that this was not a problem for you in getting the ILR. I d...
Dear All, When I came almost five years ago on Tier 1 ( G), I was unemployed for about six months. Do I have to prove five years continuous employment when applying for the ILR? I am under the impression that continuous employment was only for those who came on Work Permits. It was even clear in the...
Based on this post, does this mean those who will apply for ILR in June 2014 will not be considered if their 5 years fell short by less than 3 months due to entering the UK in 2009 after 2 months of getting the first Tier 1?
Dear All, I teach part-time at few institutes on varying contracts and durations and am also registered as self-employed. I do meet the minimum points for income through just part-time employment. While applying for my ILR, do I have to show all the sources and income I earned in the last 12 months?...
Did you see the link I posted which is of the official UKBA site. Since it clearly states that Tier 1 immigrants are exempt from the continuous employment condition then I would rather follow this than the one you posted.
