Post Office Check & Send requesting for biometric card

Hello all, I hope someone can help me with this. I stopped by at Stratford Post Office this morning to send off the passport applications for myself and my husband. The lady checking looked at my old and current passports and checked the vignettes. She then asked if the last grant of leave, ILR, was...

Re: Reference (no phone number)

I guess you can. When I was applying for my son's passport using post office check and send, my referee forgot to put how she knew us. The lady at the till gave it back to me insisting that I should take it back to the referee. I simply went back to the office, got an identical pen and wrote it as c...

Hello lotstoread, I recently got my ILR too and have applied for child benefit for my son and the first payment was received last week. I didn't send original copy of my BRP card, just a photocopy with my son's original birth certficate. To my understanding, it is the birth certificate that must be ...

ILR Success at Croydon PEO 31st Oct HSMP + Tier 1

I got my ILR approved today together with my husband. My visa was due to expire on the 21st of November. I entered the UK on the 19th of December 2007. I am the main applicant with my husband as dependant. We also have a little boy born in the UK who was not added to the application. Appointment was...

Thanks Push, Yes, that answers my question. For clarity (sorry if I'm being thick here, just want to get it right) as our visa expires on the 21st of November which is exactly 28 days before our qualifying period does that mean that the caseworker cannot reject our application if we apply on the 15t...

Would 28 day rule discretion be applied in my case

Good evening everyone, I am hoping someone can help with this query either from experience or knowledge. My HSMP visa was granted on the 21st of Nov 2007, entered on the 19th of December 2007. I am currently on tier 1 that expires on the 21st of November 2012. I am preparing for my ILR with a depend...

Alladin,

I did not give any reason for applying early, I did not even mention it. I think they treat all applications the same whether you apply early or not.

Newbie, As you rightly pointed out, the employer's name is not on the statment for my job paid by cheque. It's so bad that the only thing that is put there is the branch name, for instance if the cheque was paid in at a branch in Maidstone, the payment reference only shows Maidstone. I explained thi...

Got Tier 1 extension - Keep up the good work

Dear all, I just want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone offering valuable advice on this forum. I stumbled on this forum earlier in the year and this was where I discovered the possibility of early extension. Before some people will crucify me, I had a genuine reason for applying early,...

No appointment at PEO

Hello all, My husband tried to call the PEO in Croydon this morning to book an appointment for our extension from HSMP to tier 1. He was told that there is no appointment even till August that all applications must be sent to the HO through the post. Is that right? Has any one had this experience or...

Can anyone please tell me what the letter from the employer will look like. My employer does not have a clue how togo about this, so I have to give him an idea of what I want.

Award winning samples if possible, pls.
