Thanks

Thanks Hari and itsme...I guess that seals it. I guess if we have an option of getting back Indian citizenship in 1 year of Residence in India, I would say we are ok then.

Allview, Harrow is excellent or at-least my councillor was excellent. I took many documents but she kept the bare minimum and the results looks great. Actually my application was approved 26th Juy..but I received it late. To be honest, my experience all through with UKBA and government offices have ...

Hi itsme, Thanks. I understand I will have to surrender my passport, but I have few questions. a) What happens to the visas on the passport. Can we use those visas for travel/ works (such as H1B), as they are in a way not property of Indian Government; even though Indian Passport is. b) Also can we ...

British Vs Indian Citizenship

First-off, I have received approval of my British Citizenship. Thanks a lot to these forums which has helped me a lot all stages. Until now, I have just done what people normally do and have progressed towards the citizenship...without questioning the pro-and-con of British Citizenship. One of the r...

British Citizenship for wife and child

Was on HSMP now on ILR. Wife and child is in UK for more than 3 years. So would this be 1 single application for all three or 1 application by me and one separate for them after I become citizen.

References would be great help.

Thanks in advance.

Employment & Citizenship

I am on ILR through HSMP and become eligible for Citizenship October next year. Wonder if somebody knows of the connection between Employment and Citizenship, should I decide to start a business which may not generate much income by the time I apply for the citizenship? Which is to ask, if I have ve...

Is it important that the case is presented as Employed or Self Employed? Do we need to declare that the limited company was owned by me if the case is presented as employed?

Yes, most cases are straightforward cases. And you will get what you asked for in your original post from those (list of documents). If you have an unusual case/specific problem or worry, normally you create your own thread and ask for advise. It would be a waste of energy for someone else to specu...

I was on a 4-year WP from Jan 2005, then switched to HSMP from March 2006. I was away from the UK mid-Feb to end-April 2006, which is when I applied for HSMP from home country. I was on long leave (unpaid) from my employer, and when I got back to the UK didn't resume that job, but instead applied f...

what visa did you have stamped, entry clearance or FLR ? but frankly this looks like you reset the clock when you left the country Just checked my passport - both the stamps (the original WP and the later HSMP) say Entry Clearance. Are you saying this could reset the clock? Bummer. This would mean ...

There's a thread in the Tier 1/General forum (HSMP won JR) with over a hundred pages. Look at the last few pages. There's also a thread by f2k or itsme (can't remember, sorry guys) about getting ILR in 3 years 11 months (that's the title of the thread, it's in this forum)... he applied under the JR...

Re: HSMP ILR JR Document List

Thanks for your advice. You seem too eager to discourage people asking questions. I am eager to discourage selfish take-only behaviour on forums. This information is already available on this forum and discussed many times. The fact that you are being lazy to search for it does not mean other peopl...

MrBaboo, why do you think only experienced members, possibly immigration consultants, eligible to comment in rather sarcastic way? I guess one purpose is that people, new ones, would use this forum because they do not want to use consultants. |Because a) each case is unique b) the catchment that the...

HSMP ILR JR Document List

Please can someone list this under 3 categories

----- Necessarry Must Have. Without this the applications are likely to be rejected.

----- Sometimes required at discretion of caseworker.

------Sometimes it is asked by Caseworker, but maynot be required.

Example of actual cases would greatly help.
