In any case, did you not have to get any letters from your employer to support your case? Its a fine line to thread though as your employer will suspect the reason you are switching might be because you want to switch jobs, and so the delicate situation might be something you want to be wary about. ...

Typically, your employer would have informed UKBA about your date of termination (this is the date after your consultation period and any pay in lieu ends).

Usually it is 60 days from this date.
