My Baby Nationlity!

Hi all, Just a summary abt my situation! Iam a British Citizen (natuaralized) and live with my wife (indian passport - in WP) and we are married for 2 years+ (don't ask me why the visa status has not been changed) and she will be getting her PR in 1 year time. Now, we are expecting a baby in 7 mnths...

You may book an appointment with the UKBA to present the case for same day consideration. She will need to take the "Life in the UK Test" IMHO she can take the test anytime as this does not have to be witin the 28 day period. So, to summarize she can take up the test ( i will ask her to t...

Re: Permanent Resident - Slightly Twisted

Hello all, This is a slightly twisted question about PR. My wife is in WP and her current WP is expiring by Sep 6th 2011 and she landed in UK on Sep 9th 2006. Now, is it fair to say that she is missing her PR eligibility by 3 days? If yes, we will be talking to her employer and ask them to extend i...

Ask employer to extend WP and apply for FLR before leave expires.

What is FLR?. So, iam assuming the only way to compensate this situation is to extend the WP

Thanks

Thanks for the info. It make sense from my point of view that i don't want to spend money twice one for switching status from WP -> DEP and again for the PR ( which i guess somewhere closer to £1000). So, my question is After the baby is born if i register as a British Citizen then, inorder to trav...

btw, if the HO says your Indian marriage certificate is good enough (it probably needs to be English for that) then I would take a copy of the certificate and forward it onto the HO with a written letter requesting confirmation they will accept this for the purposes of the FLR(M) application. If an...

not sure. check with your local registrar office. You might need a Certificate of No Impediment. India is a Commonwealth country which helps I think. Also call up the HO to find out which countries they recognise the certificates from. I've tried to google it, but had no luck. Anyway, worst case yo...
