My partner is here in the UK as my Tier 1 Dependent. She has family events to attend back in New Zealand and is planning to stay a total of 137 days in New Zealand.

Will she encounter any problem re entering the UK to join me again.

I dont have to go back to new zealand to switch from tier 1 to dependant?

The home office told me on the phone that I cannot switch while in the country, i have to go back and re enter on the dependent visa.

So it might just be an unplanned holiday for her which isn't a bad thing, she works on short contact so she can leave any time.

I phoned the Home office. She has to re-enter the country as my dependent. her HSMP ends in august

She has NOT got adequate maintenance funds ( but i do and can give it to her to hold for 3 months but by then it will be october.
