can anybody tell me if police caution has any effect on ILR or Citizenship? it was out of domesticviolence and both me and my wife got police caution at a police station(not verbal) thanks

I also think that illigal immigrant should be immidiately reported, its because of these kind of person the rules are getting tighter and tighter and creating loads of headache and heartache for honest and law abiding people who goes for initial visa/visa extension etc. these ppl should be stopped! ...

exactly! that was the point also made to me over the phone when i called up(see prev post) and thats why they said pre nov 06 hsmp has a so called reasonable expectation as we did not sign anything like this

i know what you mean........but that guy seemed to know wht he was talking about............maybe when we get the letter by post it would be more confirmatory........but i still do feel tht things are nowhere as bad as wht it seemed initially for hsmps so yes still i am more relaxed!

hi there.........I am also in the same boat got approval under old hsmp 0ct 06.......changed in country from PFT to HSMP nov 06 First extension under JR(did not need points for extension) nov 08. I was so confused and anxious I called up home office and they said that its "very clear"(???!...

similar thing happened to me and they gave both me and my wife as police caution(at the police station) so I am very anxious abt it aswell. I am a bit surprised they took the issue to court for you unless there was something else

I guess this link gives us good indications of what to expect, I recived my hsmp approval oct 06 and FLR nov 13 06, I guess hopefully I am safe from the ILR point of view and fingers crossed will get ILR NOV 11 as per "reasonable expectation" clause, but still for citizenship I think I hav...

you have got it wrong winber.........L plate might be itself fixed penalty.........but driving without L plate when u need to means you r driving unlicenced and that automatically invalidates ur insurance WHICH is a non-minor offence so indirectly the OP commited a major offence and got his applicat...

interesting link tech: so basically in this link it say why the OP was not given naturalization "Drink-driving offences, driving while uninsured or disqualified are also not minor offences." not displaying a L plate where needed is = driving uninsured thats why probably they didnt disregar...
