She applied her entry clearance in August 2012 after new rule. She entered UK in January 2013. Her first extension on tier- general was done in July 2014.

I am a Tier-1 general holder and would be eligible for settlement under five years rule in August 2014. My wife was granted Tier-1 dependent visa in August 2012 and she moved to UK in January 2013. I understand that she has to live with me in UK for five years in order to be eligible for settlement....

Couple of more questions:

1) Do we have to get marraige certificate attested if it is in English?
2) Secondly UKBA site states: 'You can apply for a visa up to 3 months before your date of travel to the UK'. Does this means we can not apply more than 3 months before the date of travel?

Can anyone please help with .... Is there any time limit in which the dependent has to join the main applicant after the grant of visa?
