I would like to get an advice here, is it compulsary to give details of their grandparents as asked on a small print below the parents detail box .

Yes, your friend who got ILR is eligible to apply for child credit, or any other benefits he is entitled to. The benefits that require joint claim of husband and wife, must have the details of both husband and wife, even if the wife is an overstayer. Not mentioning wife's name where it needs to be ...

The youngest born in nov last year. So it was before he received his ILR in JAN. So i guess they all 3 have to register as you have said in your 1st reply. Yes, correct. Received ILR under Legacy Case, Do i Have to wait for 1 YR

Received ILR in JAN this year under legacy case. Stayed in this country for 10 years (Received asylum on 2000). Can i apply for naturalisation now instead of waiting for 1 year. Does that 1 year waiting period apply for me.

Yeah Wanderer's right, looks like the only feasible option is for her to return home and apply from there. I don't see a reason why she can't take her kids with her. you said she applied for a student visa before. So it doesn't seem like she used any deception (examples of deception are using fake documents and things of that nature). She will not be refused just based on the fact that she overstayed. I don't know about processing times in Malaysia, hopefully s...

she is from malaysia. In my view then it's reasonable for her to return to her home country and apply correctly, she wont be refused if she's never used deception. Others will bleat on about Art 8 and HRA and applying in country but it's a long, hard road, better to bite the bullet in my view. what...
