Dear Magsi Congratulations on your seccess. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I complete 10 years on 28th Oct 2009. I have seen on the IDI document with regard to 10 yr rule, I can apply 28 days before completing 10 yrs. However, I spoke to 3 solicitors and they suggested me to apply on or after ...
Thanks Minny and Magsi. I am reassured by hearing the experience of minny, applying 28 days before. I am all gearedup to apply for 1st Oct, for which I need to start phoning HO from mid August. I hope my SAR comes before that and in person application facility for 10 yr ILR still available by that d...
Dear All I have requested for SAR file, hopefuly I will receive it on time. IDI for long residency ILR states that we can apply 28 days prior to completion of qualifying period. However, when I spoke to two immigration solicitors, they adviced me to apply on completion of 10 years rather than 28 day...
Dear Magsi Regarding your question about seperate spread sheet for absences, my friend wrote on the SET(O) form on appropriate space provided and after completing the space provided in SET(O) form, she continued on a seperate sheet to complete the remaining list of absences ( she had about 20 short ...
Dear Iboro & Magsi My friend went to PEO Croydon. She currently on HSMP/Tier1 which was valid for about couple more years. Absolutely no gaps at all in her visas in the PP. Her immigration history is Permit free to start with (I think from 1999 and somewhere end of 2006 went on HSMP, by this dat...
Dear Magsi/Raj/Iboro As promised, I just wanted to share my friend's experiance at PEO today for ILR under 10 yr rule. She had appt at 9am, but went in early 8am. Paid the required fees. Dear Iboro Many thanks for the information which is reassuring. As I said in my last post, I did not check with the HO myself. Dear Minny
Many thanks. I consulted immigration solicitor, who said the same thing. They also told me the HO has stopped 10 ILR applications in person 2 weeks ago, infuture these applications have to be by post only. I have not confirmed this news myself.

Stayed as visitor until I got permit free on 24th Jan 2000. 24 Jan 2000 to 26th July 2006 permit free 27th July 2006 to ...
Dear Iboro Thanks for your comments. Perhaps, I would have misunderstood paragraph 2 of 1.1 in IDI chapter 18 as no appeal rights for refusal of ILR under 10 year lawful residency. Thanks for letting me know. Also, according to section 3.1 of IDI, I understand, if 10 year lawful residency is met and...
Dear lboro I looked at the IDI for long residence to prepare mine and my wife's appl. IRL under 10 year long residency is discretionary leave, but generally no problems to get (as per IDI info) provided: 10 years lawful residence. One gap up to 10 days OK Absences from UK (Not gap), max 18 months in...

Dear RAJ2007 Yes, you can take telephonic appt for your wife as long as you have correct information of her such as name date of completion of 10yrs for long residency. Appts for 10 ILR are very limited, goesoff quickly. Start calling 2-3mts before opening time, preferably with a phone which has red...
