Stamp Renewal

Has anyone opted to re-new their stamp 4 instead of going the citizenship route? Mine expires next year and I have been unemployed since last August, so I wanted to re-new my 5 year stamp 4 and apply for citizenship after I have found employment.

I deal with the Bailieborough Garda in Co Cavan and the officer I used to use was sound. He retired this past summer and I hope he replacement is just as good!

Hi mdg,

When I applied in Dec 2006, it took 2 weeks from the time we went in for our appointment, to get my stamp 4 issued.

Long-Term or Citizenship

I will apply for one or the other in January 2010, just not sure which! Married my Irish husband in December 04 in the states. Moved here to live with him in Jan 07 and received the stamp 4 with date to remain until Jan 2011. He passed away in June of this year, so I was not sure how the process wil...

Sorry for your troubles, you are not in a easy situation. Have you tried any type of counseling or will your husband agree to talk with someone with you?
