Just wondering if his daughter can apply now to “register as British citizen”, or does she need to wait for a ...

Do I have to take English Language test?

Before I arrived in UK on student visa in 2005, I took IELTS test and got 5.5 average. I will soon apply for British Citizenship. Would I be exempted from English Language test? Should I go for appeal or wait for the New Residence permit rule come into effect?

My wife's EEA PR application was rejected and we have received a date in March 2018 to appear in the court for appeal application. I recently read from the Homeoffice newsletter that they will make a simplified process for those who has been living in UK for 5 years, and would receive PR. Can anyone...

Re: EEA PR refused. What option do I have now?

2-3 Observations. PET or MET test is not part of the regulations, not part of EU law. In any event the UKVI cannot apply it retroactively . It only came into effect in March 2014 and onwards. WRS ended on the 30-04-2011. An EEA national does not break the terms of WRS, if they ended work and within...

Re: EEA PR refused. What option do I have now?

So its all about wife's activities as Union citizen and sponsor. That makes more sense now. And its all about activities from mid 2011 onwards due to lack of WRS before then. In that case its all about showing work was genuine and effective . Passing the PET/MET test helps here. As does paying tax ...
