Three months period of judicial review. When does it start?

Recently I applied for ILR as I have been here more than 14 years and due to a gap of about three years when I couldn't provide bills or letters they decided to grant me DLR instead . The letter reached me three weeks after they made a decision. My questions is when does the three months period star...

Legal aid for ILR judicial review

After applying for ILR as I have been in the UK for 15 years, the home office decided to give me only a DL for 3 years. I am looking to go to court but i need legal aid.

I don't want to try job seeker allowance or any sort of benefits. Is there any other way to qualilify for legal aid?

Thanks

This is abuse of power, the rules for long residence states that discretionary leave should not be granted except when the person meets all the requirements except the KOL. To give you DLR as a means of preventing you from appealing, an appeal i feel you have an excellent prospect of winning, seems...

Did you pass the KOL as vinny asked? If you have and your passport shows when you came to the UK and you have notary people who can attest to your presence, i will strongly recommend a JR, as you never know whats round the corber in 2 years. I passed Life In The UK in less than 2 mins and I am sure...

There were two periods in which i couldn't provide evidence of my residence: 1 year and 6 months 3 years and 10 months Before they refused my ILR they requested the rest of documents so I told them I was renting places with no bills and any correspondence and couldn't provide any further proofs. The...

Granted Limited instead if indefinite Leave To Remain

I applied for ILR on basis of 14 years stay in the UK ( illegal as student overstayer).
I received a limited one for two years.
I am not complaining here, but I need to know if I will be allowed to apply for ILR in two years.
Still I am happy with having the right to travel and work for now.

Good to hear zebra3 for getting your life sorted :D . I sent my application the same time as you and in the last week they returned the application asking me to provide further evidence for 4 separate gap years in which I had no bills or proofs. I've been here for 15 years illegally (student visas) ...

Thanks, Jei2 for the unexpected ray of hope. When I read it my case has to be truly and exceptional!

How exceptional and true can it be?

12 years overstayer - any light at the end of misery?

As my case stands I have to wait another two years to start asking the Home Office to grant me permission to live decently but till then is it possible to ask for any concession in order to regualrise my status?

I dug myself a giant hole and it's costing me dear.

Cheers
