John,

Wouldn't it be possible, that since the mother is not British yet (only ILR for one year), child can get mother's citizenship and apply for ILR and then apply for Naturalisation once in UK to get citizenship otherwise than descent.

You were eligible for Naturalisation since Oct 2009, after completing 3 years of stay in UK.

1 year ILR rule doesn't apply for Naturalisation as a spouse of British Citizen.

If they will not accept the result of NARIC then whose will they accept.

IF NARIC letter clearly shows thats its equivalent to NARIC then HO will easily accept it.

mallikz,

you can apply for OCI if you or your wife have got British citizenship. If you are still on Indian passport, you can only apply for PIO for you child.

One of the parents need to be British to apply for OCI for a child holding British citizenship.

hari15, why are you hijacking someone else's thread for your questions. Start a thread of your own.

I don't know enough to answer the question but will be interested to know answers of chakku71's questions.

sp23,

Congratulations.

Did they specifically ask for all P60s. ?

I only have P60s for last two years, will that be good enough or they will insist on all P60s.

thanks.
