I will advice you leave the money in your account until yoi receive your passport back. Everything might be ok to you, but you never can trust the caseworkers where they are coming from. I believe 6 weeks is not too long.

The inportant thing is to be sure that your file has been sent to the Appeal imlementation unit in leeds (where the letter will be sent from) by the Appeal processing unit.
Try contact the unit on this number 02089172039 they will tell you if your file has been sent to leads

You should only send the photocopies of documentary evidence with the appeal application forms. However you will have to take the original copies with you on the day of hearing.
