Completely Agree

Thanks for the insight ENT, I totally agree with you on all of what you've said. My case is still at the high court, and the process has taken a lot out of me and my family and friends, emotionally, physically and financially. I'm now not too worried any longer about whether or not I stay in the UK ...

Hi, I'm an American as well...and yes, it is likely that you will have to go home to apply. Private message me if you like and I will tell you my experience. It can be easy or it can be hard...it all depends on the people you get at consulates, etc. My best advice is to ask the same question at leas...

Details?

Hi, Glad your case worked out! Could you give me a few details on it? I feel I have a good case on Art 8 as well (with many letters of reference from high up people in UK business and with letters from school for my child), yet the judge would not make a determination at the hearing (no HO rep showe...

Does anyone have a copy of the old guidance for the IGS visa

Does anyone have guidance notes from the IGS visa? I want to compare them to the PSW guidance notes.

Much appreciated!

Overdraft as maintenance

See this post http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=43213 This person was refused, went to appeal and won the case on the overdraft as 'available loan'....you might try to 'bypass' the refusal by making sure you submit a letter from your bank stating what your overdraft amount is - and se...

Re: khan...! All d best

Khan is totally right...this is UTTER MADNESS. They've changed the rules for us in the middle of the game. (I don't have the energy to go into this more). But, I suggest that everyone write to their local MP for sure. May not change the rules for US, but maybe will help others in future. Also, did a...

Re: Maintenance Rule - Appeal Allowed

There is no statute - thats the point !! Oh, duh! Gotcha. I'm just reading a blog about third party support, which is actually my issue. I've always sent in bank statements with a letter of support from my parents and my child's father. They rejected this time; my appeal argument was going to be so...

Re: Maintenance Rule - Appeal Allowed

Maintenance is indeed a very contentious issue right now. There was a case recently by one of our barristers where he argued this point regarding having an overdraft facility before 5 immigration judges. 1 judge accepted the argument and 4 did not. Also some barristers have argued the rule of maint...

So must appeal on transit arrangements and have good chance of winning. UK_Banned_Member I went and saw an advisor today ...

Transitional Agreements

Yes, please post this link. I'm not sure this is valid as so many people on this board have been under transitional agreements. I am going to see an immigration advisor today and will ask about this argument. I will post back later. One thing I'd like to add is how confusing the rules can be. I'd li...

Special Case

Hello Selvyn, I am happy to hear your positive result and it does give hope! I was hoping that you could take a moment to possibly give your logical opinion? I will of course, continue with my own research on this subject. Here is my refusal issue: For the 3 months prior to my application for the PS...
