Hello, My husband just received his residence card (5 years, eea2). His passport will expire in 2011, well before the end of the Residence card. Got RC after 16 months of waiting!!!!!!!!!

Hi everybody,

Just wanted to share my joy. We finally received our residence card after 16 months of waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took countless complaints, phone calls, letters, involvement from SOLVIT, but here it is. No apology for the delay though!

Keep hoping, it will happen for you too!

The Home Office does not say anything about the insurer having to come from the UK... but in my case, I did choose a UK insurer (Aviva).
