i thought the reason you get a BRP card now is that you don't have to have vignette on the passport. If you have your BRP which has your details in a chip/pin card then i cannot see any reason of refusal of entry.

also, have you reported your lost passport to police

when they gave me my documents back, including the letter, she said to me that ILR has been granted and that I should receive my BRP Card in 7/10 days. But when I read the letter it didn't say anything about grant of ILR on it. That letter is just a template, which is not properly aligned/justified ...

i think you may have misunderstood my question. My wife has not got a BRP Card, the visa vignette is on her passport. I have got my ILR and as she has not completed 2 years in the UK so I need to extend her stay using FLR(M) under the rules before 9 July 2011. I never had a BRP either so just had on...

Re: query

if you are applying for ILR, do you think they will check the tax history, or unless they smell something fishy, then they will go through the HMRC. i wonder what they check on the computer when you apply for ILR? have you got something to hide ??? Hi, Filling the form, it says "Your partner’s current passport or travel document showing that he/she is present and settled in the UK. If you are unable to provide this, see Note 6 about other suitable documents. List any such documents below" I do not really want to send BRP Card away if...

The only reason I think would be that the paper they have is half the size of A4 so if they start printing years worth of statements, that may take time. so i think its just they are l...

if the income is not declared so no tax paid so they don't have any records for it. so there will be a gap in tax periods records in HMRC, obviously.

i think they can get info off HMRC if they want.

i do not think the spelling will make any difference.
