Leaving before family residence card... is it a problem?

I applied for my EU family residence card in November in Italy and am still waiting for it to be issued. Unfortunately, my husband (UK citizen) is not happy and wants to leave in a couple of months for another job. Will there be a problem if I apply for entrance to the UK (with intent of living ther...

you get a "carta di identita". basically, it's a sheet of paper with your name, nationality, and picture of you stapled into it. pretty lame. the only thing that's important is getting a fical code from the fical code office. this is so you can open a bank account. you can also register wi...

thanks richard.

we're doing it tomorrow so we'll see if there are any problems.

to be honest, i thought you were going to blast me for being a complete idiot (which I am, btw). Especially since I write questions that are self-explainatory to others. :)

yes, i have that form.

does it need to be done in front of a notary or someone?

due to my husband's work schedule, it's very difficult for him to travel all the way to the questura (we live a while aways from it) and hand it in himself.
could he just fill it out, sign it and then i hand it in?

Italy: very specific question about dichiarazione

I've just been informed that my application for my residency card is missing a dichiarazione from my husband (declaring we're still married). It says that I can get it from a " dichiarazione sostitutiva atto notorio ". Is this different from a normal notary signature? If it is, where can I...

Quick question: taking a trip tonight!

I totally forgot to ask this question. I'm a US citizen who is currently an EU family residency card applicant. I haven't received it yet (though I have proof I've applied). I'm going with my husband to England (via Stanstead Airport) tonight for Christmas. I know I'm allowed to go through passport ...

Hi Directive, I'm American... and yes, we're planning on bringing ALL documents possible, just in case. We still have both passports. Dont think that there will be a big problem.... especially since I have a one-year visa for Italy (yes, they required me to have an entrance visa...that's for some re...

ha ha. thanks for the advice! I should have been more of a b**** to them. In the end, we went three times to the comune. They asked for his contract, pay receipts (which we didnt have, so they "overlooked it"), our marriage certificate, and proof my husband was born in the UK. Seriously re...

thanks for the info. I was also told to go to the post office and get a yellow kit to fill out. (the itl embassy in the US told me this) http://poliziadistato.it/articolo/10930 It says I must pay a processing fee (I think it's like 30 euros). Must I do this in addition to the items listed? ps. how d...

whoa, now i'm really confused... i thought all i needed was the receipt they give him once he applies (not the actual id card and stuff). my plan was once he applies (hopefully this week), i go directly to the questura with the rest of the documents (passports, marriage cert, etc). Am I wrong? Or do...

Itl will not register husband so cannot get residence card!

My husband and I relocated to Italy two months ago. His work is from a subordinate company run out of the UK, so he has a UK contract and pays UK taxes. Because of this, the town has refused to register him as a resident (they say he must pay Itl taxes to register). I have only 1 more month to apply...

thanks for the info.

He is employed in Italy BUT he has a UK contract (meaning he pays UK taxes but is registered and working in Italy)... actually we're not even sure if this is entirely legal.

I think this will complicate matters.

Can I apply for an EEA family residence card instead of LTR?

My husband is a UK citizen and I'm a US citizen. We currently live in Italy. (Actually we just got here and now might be on the move again!) In a year or two, my husband wants to go back to the UK to get a Masters degree and live there for a couple of years. Is it possible for me to get the 5 year E...

Schengen D- 5 day transit at the beginning?

I have a national d-type visa for Italy as an "Accompanying Spouse" (it's a long story why I have it...but anyways) One of the stipulations: I will only be allowed to have a 5 day transit once I enter the Schengen zone. This confuses me since I'm a US citizen and am allowed a 3 month stay ...

What's the deal with Marriage of Convenience?

Do nations in the Schengen zone really look critically at all marriages to see if they're shams? My situation is really messed up and weird and I'm afraid they might look at it as being suspicious. :( -I met my husband in Cz. Rep. non-EU marriage certificate: problem for residency?

Yes, another question about applying for residency in Italy! -Husband is a UK citizen. I am a US citizen. -We were married in the US. -I have no residencies in any EU country. When I apply for the Residence Card at the police office (Questura), will they easily accept a notarized and officially tran...
