Hi Palmist. What are the new criteria? Where does it say that your pay shouldn't be less than 28K for extension?

As far as I know,
1. you can apply with in 28 days before the complition of your 5 years.
2. You need to have at least the same points you needed to qualify for your first tier 1 visa

I don't know. I will ask them to do so. However the difference would be about £25.00 that they need to pay me in this case.
