Re: Whatsapp chat history - spouse visa application

I agree - I had screenshots of all my online/mobile communication rather than spreadsheets because 1. it was much easier than downloading and editing logs and 2. much harder to state that communication was forged. I used to screenshot what's app convos 2x month over the 6-12 months prior to the appl...

Re: Are printed online bank statements ok?

I am with Lloyds and I'm pretty sure up to 12 months of copies are free. You may just need to get the most recent transactions printed in branch if you get paid close to the date you plan to apply.

As you are already in the UK you don't need to rely on your sponsor's income if you earn enough.

Re: Category A or B?

If you are in non salaried employment the £1550 a month does not matter. As long as you have earned an average of £9300 in the 6 months prior to the application you can use category A.

Re: FLR(M): meeting the financial requirement through temp w

He applied for the initial spouse visa to enter the UK s the requirements are near enough the same. Although I'd be in my job almost a year when he applied I was a temporary employee employed by an agency. My employment letter stated that I was a temporary worker and I included my contract which sta...

Temporary work is fine. I was technically a temp when I sponsored my husband and there was no issue once I met the requirements.

Re: I need some serious advice here please

I am assuming you are paid by the hour? In that case you would be considered to be in non salaried employment. The usual rule is that you need to be earning at least £1550 per month to qualify if paid an annual salary over the year, but as non salaried variable income is acceptable as long as the av...

Re: Accomodation proof - Spouse visa

Once copies have been provided originals SHOULD be returned. Unfortunately that was not the case for my husband when he applied but you are supposed to get them back.

Re: Misleading info on when to apply for FLR(M) on gov.uk

I take your point but from what I've seen most people seem to be aware of this. Plus the FLM is used to cover a variety of applications including switching visas from within the UK so I don't think it's to mislead as such.

Re: Accomodation proof - Spouse visa

Proof of ownership is fine.
An inspection is only necessary if there are a number of people in the household.

Originals are mandatory. Submit copies of everything so if they wish to keep something they can keep the copy.

Re: Spouse Visa-Council House

Yes you can use your property - you just need to inform them that your husband is living there once he arrives. You would need to provide the tenancy agreement and a letter from your housing officer/local office confirming that it is ok for your husband to join you. Inspection reports are for sponso...

To make things more straightforward I would suggest just using Cat B so that they do not query that month where you were paid £1500.

Re: New job offer, spouse visa

You need to have a worked with the new employer for at least six months to use Cat A or if you would have earned 18,600 so far with those six payslips from both jobs you can use Cat B. I'm not sure if you need an employment letter from the previous employer - my suggestion would be to try to obtain ...
