Re: Fiancee or Spouse Visa helpppp

Hi All This is an amazing site that allows you to not feel alone in this immigration madness. I met my partner in Jamaica Nov 2015 after being informally introduced via my cousin and chatting by phone for a few months prior to meeting up. After a couple of days of bliss and many late night chats we...

Re: spouse visa questions

State that your wife intends to work and if details are requested just state examples of the type of work she would be interested in.

Given the difference in the way salaried and non salaried income is calculated I would assume that the question is in reference to salaried employment.

Re: FLR(M) advice needed Various Questions

The employment letter is one document apparently mandatory according the financial requirements but it's great to hear you were successful.

To be honest although requirements are the same for in country application I think more discretion is applied.

Re: Souse visa sponsor change employer

I changed jobs whilst my husband was waiting for the outcome of his application but as I was an agency worker I had the flexible of leaving the actual post but not giving notice to the agency until I really had to. I don't think it would be a problem as you have been with your current employer for o...

Re: Family of a Settled Person Visa - Proof of accommodation

You have the documents you require as a tenant. The sponsorship undertaking form is not required for settlement visas- so those who have submitted this were not required to do so. You do however need to make sure the appendix 2 form is completed and submitted alongside the application as this is the...

Ask them to provide a letter to verify that they are originals.
I also have payslips issued electronically so had HR confirm this.

Let's agree to disagree.

OP/applicant can only explain the circumstances and as I said initially those circumstances are not uncommon.

Re: accommodation requirements

There's no way cost of travel is covered (I work for local government).
A lot of people do what they have to do when it comes to employment. It can take me the same amount of time to get home on the other side of London as it can to get to Birmingham on a high speed train.

Re: Employer salary confirmation

To ensure the six months prior to application is covered just rely on the amount prior to the pay rise for the purpose of the application and add in the section re finance that you received a pay rise which I assume the employer will state on the employment letter as your current salary.

Yes that's correct.
Just ensure your employer states you are on maternity leave in the employment letter.

Re: Salaried non salaried confusion

So to work out what your pay would be over the year you must use the calculation in the rules for non salaried employment... add up your last six months payslips, divide by 6 and multiply by 12. iii) the period over which they have been or were paid the level of salary relied upon in the application...

Re: Category A or B - Financial Requirement

Yep been logging on to the website too to see if I can find different dates, so far nothing beyond my date - bit weird the system, random dates appear at different time and whilst it says you can book 42 days in advance it appears more like two weeks (that said weird because when I booked mine it w...

Re: Category A or B - Financial Requirement

I get your anxiety and over-thinking lol! Yes banks can be a pain with this sort of thing but to ease my anxiety on that front I just went into branch before I required the print outs and asked! In fact in 2013 I found that it depended on who I spoke to on the day so I took advantage of that and got...

Re: Category A or B - Financial Requirement

To add to the above comment, I had a similar dilemma as my payslips are issued electronically so I asked my employer to provide a letter confirming this as that is also acceptable. If they can provide this in advance then you're sorted.

Re: FLR (M) EVIDENCE of CORRESPONDENCE DOCUMENTS

Any formal correspondence is acceptable and if you don't have 6 joint you need 6 each addressed to you each individually. The only joint correspondence we had for our FLR last month was a letter from my son's secondary school. Certified copy isn't necessary as there is no mention of it in the guidan...
