Re: Help! FLR(M) Document Check.

Personally, for 2.2 I've answered 'No' as the entry visa was the spouse of a settled person.
For 2.3 I selected 'first period of leave to remain' as this is the first FLR application we are making.

Re: Help! FLR(M) Document Check.

Looks as though you have covered everything. Just to add that this is the first application for leave to remain... first visa was an entry visa (assuming you married before your spouse came to the UK)... just in case you ticked the wrong box on the form.

Re: Combining two employment jobs

But you are using calculations for six months when you will only have documentation for three months for the second job... if I am reading correctly. Although your employer is happy to state you have been employed for the last six months, you won't have any bank statements/payslips confirming this w...

Re: FLR(M) Questions. Thank you ALL

In answer to your first question - I guess because the form is for further leave to remain and people get to this stage in a variety of ways, the questions are phrased in reference to that stage of immigration to cover all routes. So definitely 'No' if you're following the 5 year partner route. Q3. ...

Screenshot and send what you can just before your wife applies. Submit all the screenshots from your wife's phone as that will show the same thing anyway... incoming/outgoing.

Re: FLR(M) waiting times

Was anyone successful in getting FLR for their spouse as a tenant with just a tenancy agreement and no letter? I am really worried that my housing association won't provide a letter in time for our application. My husband's visa expires next month but I really don't want to wait till last minute to ...

Time to renew spouse visa

Hi all, I am back with a few questions in the run up to my husband's application for FLR. 1. I have requested a letter from my housing association to confirm they give consent to my husband living in my flat. If I do not get this letter in enough time to submit, would it be ok to just submit the cop...

Re: FLRm when to apply. time lines

That's news to me. The initial visa to enter the country as a spouse is 33 months to give applicants 3 months extra if they need time before they travel. The rules state clearly that the applicant needs to have been in the UK for 60 months to then apply for FLR. If they came to the UK as soon as the...

Re: Spouse visa - when to submitt URGENT help needed

It shouldn't be a problem, however it would help if she had details of the new contract. Is she an agency worker? If so, is there any chance the agency could provide a letter to state she will be in a new contract from Sept?

Re: Spouse Visa Application - Salary and Payslips

Non salaried employment is where you are paid by the hour or 'per job', etc. If you are paid an hourly rate the dip below £1550 won't matter as the calculation for non salaried is just working out the average earned over the 6 months prior to application. If you are paid £1620 as annual salary paid ...

Re: Applications from the Caribbean and their timelines

My husband applied in Kingston back in 2013 when processing was still done there... 90+% of applications were done within 60 working days and ours was the same. I haven't heard much from those applying in the Caribbean as you've said since processing was moved to Sheffield. I found this page helpful...

Re: Financial Requirements question

You have to be earning at least 18,600 at the time of application also. You can only rely on a job offer when returning from living abroad. Your only option would be combining your wife's salary with savings if you have any.

Re: Maternity dates??

You need the financial documentation for employment 6 months before maternity leave (or 12 months if you worked there less than 6 months before maternity). Maternity doesn't make your application complicated (or the Home Office would have some discrimination questions to answer!) so you can go for t...

Re: FLR(M) application time confusion

Not quite sure about that... if you entered using that visa the first time they should have stamped it on that date regardless of how long you would actually be in the country for given that it's for 2.5 years.

I would say to apply by post a couple of days before the visa expires.

Re: Financial Requirement question

You could either wait until you have been in the temp post for 6 months (Cat A) or if you have been earning enough in your present/last job you could apply under Cat B for the last 12 months prior to application. You would be able to do that straight away if you were in your last job long enough.

Shouldn't be an issue as there are people on temporary contracts to sponsor their partners... as long as you have six months of documentation prior to application I don't think the duration of the contract matters.

FYI if you are with an employment agency who supplies these jobs you can use Cat A. If not... I believe the minimum amount for savings is £16K. I am not aware that you can add previous periods as a carer - i think that would have to be the case at the time of application. If anyone knows any differe...
