I think when they receive one's application, payment team opens the envelope and looks for the payment section (Section 1 on the application form). That is the reason why they want Section 2 starting on a new page instead of being overleaf of the last page of Section 1. Then they check the payment. ...

Tax return forms are generally not suitable for proving earnings as generally they do not cover the period one claims in the application form. Instead, consider other forms of evidence and be aware that you need at least two different pieces of evidence from two different sources . (Payslips/dividen...

Possibly you are asking thinking your extension application. With respect to the rules valid today, unless you have urgent requirements (like I did) you will not normally need to talk with your bank for any requirements. Just start preparing your extension application well before your current visa e...

Hi Posted my application on saturday and looking out the reference number from HO. Any idea how long will it takes.? Depends how you made the payment. If you made by cheque, give up to 5 days for the payment cleared. For credit/debit cards, you can check your balance to see if they deducted the fee...

Assuming these are the only two documents you have sent for proving your previous earnings, it seems the refusal was based on the fact that you have not provided evidence from two different sources which is mandatory.

In this case, issue date of the most recent of these statements can not be older ...

Yes, as gotcha says, the amount at "Available Credit" part is updated much more oftenly. It is not always easier to track that as you would be doing other transactions. Still might be useful as a deduction of £820 is obviously easily realisable.

You can also arrange for your documents to be collected by courier at your own cost. If you would like to arrange a courier, put a courier request in writing by fax to 0114 207 5862. You can find this in the following link: http://ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/tier1/general/supportingeviden...

If you want the payment to be cleared quickly and do not want the complications with the credit/debit card payments, you can try postal orders. You need to pay the issuing fee but sometimes it is the best option.

If the application date is 22 October and the most recent bank statement issue date is 2 October, then it should be OK. If you want, you can request recent transactions from your bank branch on a letterheaded paper which would be ad hoc statements. These are said to be admissible in the guidance. Th...

I was lucky as I could become eligible before the expiry date. Below is the list of the documents I am sending and is a proof how para...

If you want the payment to be cleared quickly, you can pay by postal order as they are cleared immediately. I can see it requires additional issuing fee, but 30-40 pounds should be OK if it makes you feel better.

I think paying by a Visa debit card may jeopardise your application. Drawing money from a bank card requires an establishment between the payee and the card issuer. An option may not be offered just because there is not such an establishment between the parties. So, you should not pay via a method w...

Going to the office for a same day application

Hi guys I am going to apply for an extention of visa under Tier 1 (General - Highly Skilled). Because of the maintenance requirement I need to wait until I am eligible (which is in couple of days) and my visa expires in the middle of next week. For the sake of being on the safe side, I looked for an...

I believe you also need to submit a letter from your accountant as in the guidance document it is stated that P60 and payslips are from the same source and it would not be enough to prove the claimed earnings just sending P60 and payslips.
