Re: Adult child dependent on mothers spouse visa

Thank you for the swift reply CR001, I'm asking on behalf of someone else. In my case my wife is now a British Citizen, in the process, was sick with worry (lost my hair), spent a fortune (could have built myself a palace and lived life as a king), have 2 young kids who do what they want (bits of fo...

Adult child dependent on mothers spouse visa

You are on your mothers spouse visa as a dependent child, which was issued to you when you were under 18, but now you are an adult over 18. If you were to get married or if you were to move to a different address would that have an impact your extension or indefinitely stay (would you still be class...

Sending additional documentation after submitting Set(M)

My wife submitted her Set (M) form in the middle of February 2015 as her 2 year leave to remain was coming to an end. However her English test certificate remained outstanding at the time (passed in December 2014) , we wrote a covering letter to explain the situation. It has arrived now, does anyone...

Set (M) November 2014 updated form

The UK border agency website states a new version of the Set (M) form for use on or after the 6th of November 2014 was published around this date, but I've turned the website upside down but don't know where it is. The 2nd of June 2014 version is the only one I can find, whats ever happened to the N...

I've just updated my status. My wife collected her passport today, visa issued, applied at Mirpur in June, so its taken around 6 months.

2036 lol, after 18 weeks and still in the process of being looked at, farcical, the UKBA are as swift as my granny and have as much intellect as a paranoid rabied gerbil. In November they should meet there 12 week target plus an extra 2 weeks or so for transit (3-4 months), I am hoping rather than e...

More staff, *sighs*, nothing will change, it's only a smoke screen to pacify the masses and quash a rebellion. Yup call my cynical but this is just another false promise. By the time my wife gets imported, she will be budhi and her cycles will be irregular.

To clarify, I never submitted my Pakistani ID card with my application (photocopy or otherwise), and my brother a few years before me the same, but they've never questioned the stamps in our passports. They don't routinely challenge stamps, there's more to this matter, I am sure of it.

Asif, I have a Pakistani ID card (free visa entry), they never questioned the stamps on my passport! Something else is arousing their suspicions.

Asif I am no expert and I have no specialist knowlegde, my views are from my own experiences. (Disclaimer). Asif P60s are issued at the end of the tax year only (April), so you won't have one. You have wage slips, bank statement printouts and an employment letter from the accountant but no P60. Most...

Your employed by your dad's company and your bank statements are printouts (bank managers letter should help but no gaurantee), where is your P60? These are the concerns I have. ECOs are unforgiving, mercilus and inhumane barbaric savages. Relationship wise, I think your okay, but you need some post...

When the Conservatives seize power then we're all doomed. They'll raise the marriage age to over 30 and it will take a generation to gain citizenship.

After our online status changed, my wife went down without a phone call the next day (if you discount the fact Gerry's was closed for a week for Eid). They are rejecting around 40% of settlement cases though. UKBA are pathologically, compulsively and obssessively paranoid/delusional about forced mar...

So Navbulls which cases meet the review criteria? Do you have to explicitly state you would like the case to be reviewed? Provide us with an explanation to substantiate your claims, you cant leave us in limbo with such a sweeping statement.

Bately Khan my fellow Yorkshire man you warm the cockles of my heart. Yes I follow your drift, since Pakistani spouse settlement applications are being dealt with in the UK, there is around a 2-3 week delay in informing applicants of their decision, leaving about 1 week to lodge an appeal, lol, that...

*Mythed* I am receiving conflicting advice about the 28 day rule to appeal. Rang the AIT again, now in complete contrast to their earlier response are insisting it's within 28 days of the refusal date stated in the refusal notice. Not when the documents were handed to you. Can anyone shed any light ...

Sorry SjD I intended to say within 28 days, Opsie so sorry for the misinformation *clanger*. Yeah I rang the AIT and they confirmed, its within 28 days after the notice is handed to you. Since my Wife's settlement case was rejected on Friday 25th of September (a day of infamy which will live long in...

My friend (a junior solicitor) has advised me to go for a review - something similar to what Batleykhan is suggesting in order to save time and in hope that the original decision may be overturned. I'm sorry I wasn't...

Thank you for your thoughtful reply Batley Khan "the Oracle", you weave your magic for the public good. 50/50 on appeal, I better keep that from my wife, she is teetering on the brink, I don't want to push her over into the abyss. That leaves me with no other option, my only saving grace i...

Okay this is my rebuttal (grounds for appeal) . My father passed away coupled with the fact my wife’s mother needed caring for which explains the 3 year delay for the application (documentary evidence will be provided). The ECO failed to consider the documents before him of our contact/relationsh...
