I came into the UK in 1998 on a Student visa and have since naturalised since 2009. He wasn't included in my ILR application at the time which apparently wa...

Obie thank you for your reply.
Pls can you advice what we ought to consider then?
I wasn't aware I ought to have applied before he turned 18.
If he's to apply on his own how soon can he apply for ILR?

Yes, my Visa expired on 21/04/2008 and I applied for extension on 19/05/2008. I got my VISA extended without any issues in that period Vchandani, the gap would be flagged up when you apply for the ILR. It is unlikely to be unnoticed. My wife has been in the UK since 1998 and there was a gap of less...

Re: british naturalisation ex details

can i just answer date of birth not available or leave the space blank. Kheli note that filling the form properly is part of the application and vetting process so whatever you fill MUST be accurate. If you do not recall your ex-wife's date of birth then state there that it is "unknown". ...

Does this mean one photograph should be endorsed ?
PCB the photograph does not have to be endorsed. You only require endorsement when applying for the passport and yes both referees can be British. Best of luck.

Update my Questions: -can i contact the council to book an earlier date even if i have not received a letter from the HO Mularda, you could have a go at asking for an earlier date from your council but it will appear they have given you the earliest date. Re: Quicker than I thought

Dilemma is that I travel in 3.5 weeks time, should I try and get Passports sorted before then or just leave the ceremony till I get back in January.
Congratulations on your approval. To be honest it might be better for you to delay your ceremony till your return as 3.5weeks is tight in my opinion.

Re: Date of first entry & Place

Strictly speaking my first date of entry was 10 years ago but I got my ILR based on 4 years Work Permit, and now am applying for Naturalisation on this (4-yr WP) basis + 1 year ILR. Your first date of entry is the date you first entered the UK. i.e. the date some 10 years ago when you first arrived...

Re: Naturalisation application - using a solicitor

I have contacted the consultancy regarding time frames and they gave me the usual 6 months quote you get from HO but did mention that they see many of their cases getting process within 3-4 months. You don't need a solicitor if your application is straightforward. You'll be saving your firm on cons...

Do i need to delcare it in the form because it is a minor traffic offence and second it was not convicted in court. That's what the lady on the phone told me. As long as you have the reference number to hand you can go for the interview
You were right Sid. Called them back and managed to get an appointment for this Saturday (early start at 08:45am though). Thanks again for the info.
