Waiting time + delayed entry by 41 days

Does anyone know how the h/o treats applications where the applicant delayed entry by more than 28 days after visa started (in my case - around 40 days)? I submitted my application on 21/7 (confirmation received). My visa expired 30/7 but - my 2 year period of life in the UK only completed on 11/9.....
