Hi, I am planning to apply for Tier 1 General VISA in next 2 months. I have done M.Tech, had around 3 years of exp in MNC and qualify for it. My important doubt is can I search for job in UK by staying in India? I was paid decent amount here (6lacs), so thinking of searching for the job being here....

You can apply for Jobs if you have to right to work in the uk- a month before coming to the Uk for leave and see how it goes!

Also bear in mind that you will need NI also to work

I sent my application which reached the HO on Friday 9 Oct. also.
I used postal order, i am yet to receive any acknowledgement.

If i dont get an acknowledgement/ref no before friday 16 oct, then i will start to worry. i will advise you to do the same. Its going to be fine. 8)
