it took me about just over 6 month,
once you approved you'll get letter for 10 years.

i always send them by registered post and so far i send three time and each time got acknowledge within two days.

You can add letter with list of all contents and reference number on it.

how some one can get this letter? sorry for hijacking @ nd2011: If the SW letter is recent, Please forward it. If not get a more recent one and forward it. That should suffice. That was what i did in my own case and my application was approved withing a few weeks. Remember to put your app ref number...
